Release DTCs without scanner?

Release DTCs without scanner? Is there a way to release codes without a scanner? The car isn't drivable at the moment and Im getting a check engine light. Thanks.

It's an '01 drivetrain/ECU. I know you can get the codes out of OBD2 Chryslers by turning the key on and off several times, and cant you jump a pin or two on OBD1 cars after 93?
