Exclamation HELP!! Belt exploded and ate my MAF now won't run no DTC's!

At the track and the belt jumped grabbed my maf harness and tore it to ****. I though the car would run without the maf, but it's acting like it's not getting spark or fuel just cranking away. I have my laptop there with HP tuners and most of the DTC's are set to show light and DTC on 2nd. It's not pulling any codes. Any ideas? I was trying to think what wires are near the belt that it could grab and mess with. Oh and my car is still sitting an hour away at the track!

It torched your maf harness? like you had it unplugged from the maf (that's how I do it when I SD tune)?

Try separating the wires to make sure your reference voltage isn't shorting across the sensor output wires...

Yeah check you have no shorts. Then you should be good to go.
Maybe set maf fail frequency. (Do you get a maf frequency with ign on?)

Check out the reference voltage (PCM +5V) that goes
to the MAF and see if it's up. A short might have taken
out the source driver, or just a PCM fuse. Presumably
the fuses are checked already, or OK since HPTuners is
still communicating with it? If the +5 goes down, a lot
of sensors are dead meat.

The maf harness is totally disconnected and the wires are taped off. My theory is that when this wires flew around the engine bay bare they must have taken a fuse out. I was able to reflash and scan for changes with hptuners, but the map sensor was reading 99 all the times. I couldn't see the fuses because of the dark.

Is the ref voltage a PID in scanner? Tell me more about the +5! Is it a fuse or something to check in hptuners?

The MAF gets 12V, not 5V and it is sourced by the Eng Sen fuse in the under hood fuse box. If it is popped, your O2 sensors will not get their 12V either.

Probably a fuse?
Ive heard it will run on cam/crank sensors only, unless your pcm has gone west too.

Are you sure you dont have your MAF code removed? If it is, then the car wont revert into SD mode and you wont get a SES light. Ill bet thats your problem.

+5V sources the output signal pullup and if it's down
there will be no MAF output signal.

found it, it was a fuse. To revert to SD mode, I just set the freq fail to zero and non-report the typical maf codes right?

don't disable the MAF codes, jsut set no MIL light, and uncheck SES enable. if u tell it no error reported, it won't revert to SD
