Default 2005 Suburban 5.3 to 96 S10 Blazer

I was asking the Chevy dealer here in town if they knew anybody that could reprogram and tune computer for my conversion. Also stated that I just wanted to get VATS disabled so I could try and start the engine first. The parts guy said the 2005 doesn't use VATS, it uses PASSKEY system. Can anybody here tell me If I will need to have something done in the computer before I can attempt to start the engine. After I get everything running and checked out and it all works, I will decide what size tires and all the other details and send it off for full tune. Thanks.

It doesn't matter what your parts guy wants to call it, it MUST be disabled to start the engine.
