Ok i just got this today and it cam with 2001f-bodies and 01 corvettes and mine is a 99 trans am how do yall add this im a newbie at this so dont go 2 hard on me.

Is this a serial cable (V1) or the USB Cable (V2) ?

if Serial, email Sales at HPTuners dot com for information on upgrading the older serial cables

if it's the USB cable, you buy credits (either 2 credits for $100 for just your PCM or 6 credits for $300 for all 99 LS1 F-Bodies)

I'm guessing that this is the serial version though right? if so as mentioned just email sales and they'll give you pricing and instructions

this is the the usb port kind and i bought if off a guy on here and i got an email telling my application key butit said it was wrong am i supposed to put the dashes in it to?

the little plug thing it came with says you know HPtuners and it says MPVI on the front of it if that helps you any it is version 2.1.4

ya its telling me that my activation key is invalid so WTF the email i got from HPtuners told me the activation key so im just confused

Make sure you copy and paste it, no need to type it in manually.

ya but i dont have the internet on my lap top so i cant get to my email on it so i just wrote it down and typed it in thats what is weird..

dunno if this is still an issue, but make sure you are typing it in all upper case ... double and triple check what you typed... very easy to do a typo

If you laptop has a CD-ROM , burn a txt file w/the copy/pasted keycode to a CD (they're practically free by now aren't they? lol) and then copy/paste from that

ya its still an issue i bought the tuners from rebells1 off here and i guess he has the activation code, but the email i got is for an update and maybe that code is for the update maybe i guess i dont know..

ok i just got into it must have been a typographical error man i was getting very pissed but now im in and im trying to add my car to it now!!

You can't add your vehicle until you connect to it for the first time (per help files) at that point it will prompt you for your choice of licensing

Help file also explains how to see what vehicles you are licensed for and how many credits you have left (you just need to plug your cable into your computer for this..... )
