Default Maf ?

quick question, if you suspect a problem with the MAF, can't you unplug it, and if it corrects the idle problem, doesn't that prove it is the MAF.

thanks

it's better to swap the MAF with a known good one. If you unplug the MAF, you will fall into SD mode so it's like comparing apples to oranges

Not true. In my M5, if I unplugged the passenger side MAF - no change, unplugging the driver's side - ceased to run.

...........M5....its a bmw... not an ls1, totally different story.
when i just unplugged my MAF(since ls1's have only 1), it ceases to run and even sometimes runs but then cuts off.
