Default Lean Cruise Mode?

I have an 01 Z28 and see that according to HPTuners 2.1, I can enable it. I know that after "x" amount of light throttle cruising(ie..highway), that if this works, we can lean our cars out to 15.5:1 or more. Anyone try this yet? Any input would be great, thanks in advance!

Never tried it, but with all of the heat that a turbo adds, do you really want to go to 15.5???

Sorry about that, I should have clarified. Its not for my 98(turbo car). Its for my daily driven 01 Z28. What can I say, I'm a lucky bastard to have 2 Fbodies

It's disabled down in the bowels of the OS so any
fiddling will have no effect. It's just there because
it's a cross-platform function but it's only a tease.

Damn. Thanks for the information. At least I didn't try getting it to work and pull my hair out because I thought I was doing something wrong.

You can always cheat the sensors to make your own for of lean cruise. You can change the voltage offsets for your O2 sensors if running in closed loop or you can lean out the cruise cells if running in open loop. That's what I do.

Could someone please elaborate on this?
(In EFI-L)Does this mean using the "Closed Loop Mode" and "O2 Switch point" tables to offset the O2's to switch at a leaner voltage for low Grams/Second?

The o2 voltages don't switch in lean cruse mode , it just goes to a comanded afr . the reading on the o2's is about 50-20 mv from what i have seen .

Yes, my O2's usually park around 30mv or so. Come out of lean cruise and they swing wildly like normal.

In efilive all you have to do is run the custom os 3, it lets you plot out and command air fuel ratios via rpm and map. so if you want lean you can make it lean.
