Default Could tune do this?

I had a mail order tune done for my heads and cam but when I start the car it revs to like 2100 and stays there for a little while and then settles down to perfect idle ~800. If I lightly tap the gas it revs back up to 2100 and hovers there and then settles down. If I rev it past 2K it will drop normally and go back to around 2100 and then eventually settle back to 800. What could this possably be? I have a C5 drive by wire. I also got a 90mm intake and TB the TB is a tpis. If anyone has the answer please let me know, or if you even think you know because I have no clue right now....

"What could this possably be?"

Air leak somewhere possibly. Double check the intake torque settings on the manifold bolts.

Yep, also check to see if the throttle blade has a hole in it, a C5 doesn't need it.

Make sure you use IN LBS!

So you think I might have cracked my intake? I really don't think I did, but I will check.

Does it really sound like an air leak coming from somewhere?

Does anyone have any other ideas? It started to get worse when I tried to drive it. It reved up to over 4K when I started it and then slowly started to go down. You couldn't drive it because it kept staying higher up the RPM. I just want to get this fixed and am trying to get all the opinions and ideas I can before I call the place that tuned the car Monday.

Maybe try some epoxy or something to block the hole in the TB and see if it helps. Like said before C5's arnt supposed to have a hole in the TB blade.

If it can settle to a 800rpm idle, then the hole is not an issue. As mentioned above, the problem is the tune.

The only thing is when it does settle down it idles PERFECT. I mean I would be completly happy with the idle if it would drop down to that idle faster. Even when I start it up it revs to 3K or so and stays there for a little while but it drops to a perfect idle and sits there.

I've got a similar problem, actually the same, just haven't revved that high yet....

Coming off the gas and tossing her in neutral, the car stays around 2500rpms, when I stop it come down a little but doesn't come to idle.

If I slip the clutch a little to add some load and bring down the rpm's it will stay at idle fine.

One thing I did notice, I hooked her up to my buddies tech 2 and saw that when it's staying up at 2500, the TPS is reading 1% blade open....But if I slip the clutch and bring it to idle it goes back to blade closed.

I popped a code not too long ago for my TPS and I replaced the sensor, I keep getting intermittent failures every now and again about my TPS without the SES light though.

Could there be something messed up or that something in the tune as well?
1% throttle isn't going to cause 2500rpm's I don't think

Thanks all in advance

Yeah check tps settings just to be sure. A dodgy tps reading will force follower table to open iac and raise rpm.

Either way its the follower and cracker tables you guys are talking about. Get a tuner and sort it out.

Ok, the company that tuned it.....said that it isn't in the tuning and they don't touch those tables. What could I look for with autotap to try and pinpoint what it is? They told me it was probably an air leak....but I just can't accept this becuase after some seconds it idles perfect.
