If you are sure you need a 5 volt source for a wide band sensor, you can splice into the 5 volt reference wire that goes to your map sensor. The mass air sensor may also have an OK 5 volt reference that would be a source.

I used a 12v source to a $3.00 radio shack 5V regulator for a fuel pressure sending unit.
It is pictured below next to the mini fuse panel and the Wet Relay (Red Switched 12 +, Green 5V out, Black - )

I beleive he meant it wants to get the Widband readings into the PCM without using any other external interface like the HPtuners EIO interface.
I used the EGR input on mine as removed the EGR, I dont know on the 2001 Vettes, but on 01-02 Transam's they dont have the EGR fitted anyway, so not sure if you will have a wire there for it.
The Air con is another input but as you say you dont want to loose your air con pressure switch.
Perhps its worth looking for the EGR wire, perhaps Chevy used the same loom as previous years, just terminated the wire somehow with no plug. I have seen spare plugs in my old firebird from factory.
