Default how much to re-flash the ECU ??

I can't tune my car because it has a tune in it from the last person that had it. I guess they tuned it with a handheld programmer and didn't flash it back to stock tuning before they sold it. Can anyone tell me how much it cost to re-flash an ECU?

Call us on monday or pm me, i can walk you thru what needs to be done. We can send you out a stock pcm with a stock program and you can keep or sell your other one for $100 shipped. Or if you want to send in yours, and it is only a stock reflash usually that price is only $30.00

I live about 10 min from a Pontaic dealership and was planning on having it done there and I just wanted to know if anyone else had reflashed their ECU anytime lately and could give me an estimate of what it cost. I am going to check prices tomorrow morning and if they hurt my feelings on that then I will probably send it to you to get you to reflash it to stock tuning for me. Thanks

they should charge 1 to 1.5 hours to upgrade your modules. If they are $75 per hour like most, then... ouch!

it only takes 20 minutes or less, but dealers go by book time.

It also depends on how many programable modules are in your vehicle. On the newer vehicle it takes about 10 to 15 minutes per module and there may be 15 modules in that vehicle. 20 min for the radio..

well I had it flashed today and it took about 15 min. He gave me a print out of what OS was in the car and the OS that he was about to put in the car. He told me to just slip him a 20 spot under the table and he took care of it for me. HP tuners now recognizes the OS and VIN and it is ready to be tuned.
