Secondary Air Injection?
My SES light came on, when I had the codes pulled, it spit "Secondary Air Injection" at me. What does this code mean and how would I go about fixing it?

that is your air injection that lets you pass emission tests
you can turn the code off,as long as you turn off ALL of the secondary air injection codes and the MIL status to none

I'm lucky in that they don't do emissions testing around here yet. But how would I go about turning it off? Would I need some kind of tuner or where would I go to have it done?

The code is for the secondary air injection system. Essentially it is an air pump that injects air into your exhaust, I believe to help preheat the catalytic converters. Two things that I would check are that the air pump is working and that the check valves are functioning. On my firebird, the air pump is located just below the driver's side headlight. The pump is connected to a black hose which runs from the pump up near the fuses behind the headlight and then along the the driver's side fender and then eventually is split into two black hoses. The hoses lead to two black metal check valves which connect to a pipe coming from the exhaust manifold on each side of the engine. On my car, it emits a low volume high pitched sound when running. It normally comes on for a few seconds after a cold startup. You can check the operation by either listening for the sound coming from under the headlight just after startup or disconnecting the black hose at a convenient point and checking for airflow after startup. If it does not come on, then it is either the pump itself or an electrical problem. If it is not the pump the most likely problem is that the one way check valve or valves got plugged. You can check for this by removing the valves and trying to blow air through them. You should be able to blow air from the side that the rubber pipe connects to through the valve. If you cannot, the valve is likely plugged and should be replaced. I hope this helps.

Both check valves were broken. It only cost like $30 to replace them both. No more code, but I twisted the hell out of the pipe coming out of the manifold!
