Default PROBLEM! Tuners come in plz

Ok, so I know for sure its not a misfire, because I had a previous problem with my headers getting so hot that they melted my MSD 8.5's... I got new plugs, wires, and put on Boot protectors so that didnt happen again..... So, with that said here it goes.

I was driving home from Wentzville, from a friends house and I was in 6th gear at about 65.. I accelerated to 80 and the car started backfiring and popping... . I slowed down and dropped it to 3rd, nothing happened, it was absolutely fine.... It did this the whole way home so I just kept it in cruise control at 75 mph the whole way...

^^ Its fine now, nothing wrong I checked it out last night.

This morning I get in my car, it sounded just like a cold cammed car when you start it up and it dies 5000 times... I started it in the garage, and it died.. 3 more times and it died all 3 times..

^^ Tonight I tried again, it was fine and I drove it around to test it out

WTF??????????

I think it could be my tune???

I think my tuner said A/F is 11/1 or something like that.. Isnt that rich, because it smells like a go-kart.....

Anybody do tuning around St. Louis Missouri? PLEASE POST

11.x AFR sould only occur at WOT, so other then that the PCM will try to stay at stoich which is usually set at 14.7 in the PCM. Check the plugs for tightness and hairline crackes in the ceramic. This sounds nothing like a tune issue.

And why the hell did your tuner set AFR to 11.x:1 with the small amount of mods you have done? You should be around 12.6-13.0 AFR at WOT.

Ok, at WOT with those mods you should shoot for 12..6-13.0 AFR, not 11.x.

He's just dyslexic his afr is in the mid 12's to 13's.

Think he melted an o2 wire on the headers.

Check the plugs and wires again as well as the fuel system. I really dont think it has anything to do with the tune. Have you over revved lately?
