obdII not working?

obdII not working? I plugged in my scanner to my obdII port today and it wouldnt come on. The scanner works fine in my wifes car which leads me to believe that my port has malfunctioned. Is there a fuse or anything that I can check. Im using an actron code scanner on it. Its brand new and, as I said, works fine on my wifes 2002 cruiser...
