Default BCM Replacement 2000 Yukon Xl - Does it need reprogramming?

I know this is a BCM, not a PCM question, but maybe someone can help.

I need to replace the BCM on my 2000 yukon xl.

I have found a replacement, also from a 2000 yukon xl.

Does anyone know if I need to have any programming done to the new BCM when i replace my old one???

Thanks in advance!!!

Not the exact same application, but I had to replace mine, and after finding one that matched up with my ignition key, I simply installed it and it worked.
I would assume if the new BCM you got does not match your key, it will require reprogramming.
Good luck.

Yes it will need programmed, Also a relearn of the security system will need to be done. Every truck is different with different options. That is why programming is necissary. something may or may not work.
