Question P0154 DTC Does it effect Performance?

Well got my car back from the Trans shop Wednesday from my SS3800 Verter install and my Car felt like it was a little down on Power.I kept throwing (P0154 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 2 Sensor 1).So Tonight I jacked the Car up and sure enough when they put my Tranny back in they Smashed Bank 2 o2 sensor and wires were broken.Went to the Local auto parts and bought another Bocsh 13111 sensor. So can I expect it to run stronger now?By this code did it put me into a limp mode or anything? Thanks!
Scott

That code will affect closed loop performance. WIth a good sensor you should run better closed loop. The sensor has no affect on WOT.

How is that possible to not have any baring on WOT?When we auto-tap are cars at WOT we wanted the o2 mv's to be .880's to .920's.If I were to auto tap my car now it would be say B1 920's B2 0's .What am I missing here? Thanks!

Your O2 sensors only see what has already happened in the engine. That is why at WOT, the mv stays high and does not switch. Above about 75% throttle angle the PCM goes into full throttle enrichment which is a pre determined fuel delivery rate, the PCM doesn't use the O2's to adjust mixture during full throttle enrichment.

Default Engineered Victories

At WOT your car goes into PE mode, which is a predetermined A/F ratio. Your O2s have no effect at WOT. Although, unless you have your LTFTs set for your PCM to assume they're perfect under WOT, then your PE look up table will go back to see what the last LTFTs were and make and best guesstimate from there. In which case your PE A/F ratios would be off. When you tuned your car you used the O2s as a tool to tell you if you A/F was right under WOT by making sure they read about .880 but the O2 are only controlling A/F ratio in closed loop not PE mode.

Yeah the senor will always have a reading on it, the difference is that in PE the PCM will disregard the signal from the O2 and not make any fuel adjustments.
