Default Disconnecting battery for 20 minutes

Is it true if you disconnect your battery for 20-30 minutes you will loose whatever tune/program you have running on your car and will return it back to factory settings?

Thanks
Tyler

Don't think it will reset. Set because your front wheels were stationary while on dyno. After some start cycles it will go into history but the MIL will have to be reset. Your tuner should have done that, part of finishing the tune.

I am the tuner and I have cleared the codes. I'm starting to wonder if a sensor or some wiring was jerked around under the car by one of the straps. Our software (ie EFI Live or HPT) doesn't have access to the BCM though as far as I know...

FAQ
If I reset my PCM/Disconnect my Battery/Battery goes dead will I lose my tune?
---Nope... your tune is stored in flash memory... only way to lose it is if you reflash your PCM. It may idle poorly at first while the car is "relearning" how to idle however. This should only last a few minutes.

I've set the ABS code along with 1514 code. I reset the ABS code from the dash without turning car off, but had to do one ignition cycle before sucessfuly turning off 1514. C5

Does your code show Current or History?

Not sure. I didn't spend a whole lot of time investigating (car is an hour away). I just know there were a few restarts and ~30miles of driving after the dyno and the light was still on when I got home.

Do you have 3ch or 4ch abs? If the code stayed that long after the dyno then I would suspect a pulled, kinked, unhooked, sensor.

It's an M6 without traction control. I'm guessing that's still 4-channel?

If you connected axle straps for the dyno around the rear axle, check the driver side for the ABS sensor plug pulled loose. On F bodys, the plugs harness hangs down and often the axle strap gets wrapped around that harness and pulls the plug loose.
