Question Need Info on Force Motor Current vs. Pressure vs.Temp with HP Tuners

Does Force Motor Current vs. Pressure vs.Temp in the Positive/Negative Have any baring on the Converter?I was just wondering if not how can I make my Converter look harder?

Absolutely it affects the converter.

The converter receives main line pressure, knocked
down by the TCC PWM % value. At full TCC duty,
still you have only the modulated line pressure from
the trans main fluid circuit.

Now, you look at your commanded line pressure
at light cruise, you'll see the PCM is commanding
0% and the force motor is blowing off pressure.
The TCC is being starved. This was where I had
bad slip with my TCI and its small clutch.

On HPTuners' forum, V8 Transmission section, a
"sticky" post has the basic real pressure vs force
motor profiles from several different vehicles. All
pretty much the same.

You have more options now. HPTuners added some
"General Pressure" stuff, and one bit is TCC Locked
line bump. Playing with this, rather than jacking up
line pressure full time even when converter is
unlocked, would be more suave.

That table is the base tables of all pressure, the reason why is it is the final table that tells the force motor current table to used durring a shift. the computer just uses the base tables as a reference on what to use on that table and the tft sensor degrees to pinpoint the exact amps to use durring that shift.. When you have a 0 on the base pressure, the trans still makes pressure, It just uses the amps specified on the fm current vs tft. It is a simple system. The lower the FM the more the pressure.

To verify this is correct, you can prove it very simply by modifiying the fm table and the base shifting tables and then seeing the results.

ON a SHIFT KIT you must move all pressure tables including the FM current table back to STOCK settings. Failure will eventually occur. The pump can only hold so much before it snaps its outer ring.
