Yes...yes what? What is a dongle? I'm still confuzzled.

If all he wants is $300 for the complete package for me to tune my own car, then I think I can handle that.

FYI you will still need a scan tool of some sort. Autotap or EFILive. You can get the scanner for only $249 or the complete package that will allow you to tune your car for only $549. Then I would suggest a wideband.

Sooooo much to learn....soooo little beer to help me understand.....

I was looking at the road runner/efilive $200 liscence package and had a question:

To run and log a wide band, and to use the 2-step revlimter feature of efi live do you have to buy a (I can't believe I'm typing this word) "dongle" as well?

To use the RoadRunner you would need to purchase the scan only version of EFILive, the RoadRunner and license.

How much is a scan only version of EFILive?
Would a used cable without any liscences left on it get the job done?

Scan only version will run you either $249 or $399 depending on which interface you would like to use.

Is that price difference for V1 vs V2?

of topic question...

Do the standard 2 bar maps have the same resolution as the standard 1 bar maps?

Correct. You can use a 2bar MAP if it is done with a custom OS as it will retain the resultion of 5kPa. If you don't then you would have to halve the ve table and tune it like that. If that makes sense.
