Default wide band question

if i purchase a wideband sensor from AEM and conect it to the egr with out the software for the wideband, would it work with hp tuners or would i still need to get the software for the wideband. had been seeing the info on the post below and they make it seem like you can do that.

the software isnt an issue...its just a matter of making up the proper custom PID for it to work thats the hard part.

is that when you would use the formula (EGR_Volts/0.5)+10 for a AEM Wideband
