To dyno tune or not to tune yet....
Ok I just bought a 2000 Z28 M6 w/47000 miles it has a set of mac midlength headers w/ y pipe into a magnaflow w/out cats all tubes are 3" it sounds just great and has good power no misses, late next summer I will be adding heads,cam,ls6 intake should I drop the 400.00 on a dyno tune now or wait till after the upgrades. The car has a gas smell at idle it could be rich or due to no cats. Anyway im in kansas city area so if anyone local would like to help me out w a tune I would pay for it. Im also in the st.louis are alot all my family is there.

yeah after the upgrade, I know you probably want a baseline dyno run, but forget it, its a waste of money. Use track time difference, for instance i ran low 13's stock, then with all my bolt ons and tires cracked into the high 12's and with the cam I can easily run 12's heads I plan to run 11's but there was a dyno tune for my cam, and there will be one after the cam

after the upgrade. The only reason to do it now would be if you were wanting a baseline to see what your gains are. But then you would need to do another tune after the upgrades.

since its an m6 i would say wait... auto's benefit more from a tune then manuals..
if u have no cats u will have that smell...
and my car ran lean after headers and ory, although most people claim to be running rich..?... i guess everybodys car is diffrent
