Default pcm logic !

This question was asked in the conversion section and didn't really get answered... Maybe some one here can help.\\

Does the Pcm of any given year LS1, log the miles that are on the car? Just curious if I can tell how many actual miles are on my motor (out of a wrecked f-body), and another that I am about to purchase.

As far as I know, no. The Instrument Cluster does that job.

Doc is correct only the IPC cluster does. IF the vehicle was in a wreck, the abs cluster may have stored the crash data in it. That may have the mileage sitting in it now too.

Hey, thanks for the info. The dealer couldn't even give me a straight answer! Go figure!
