Default PCM tuning for LT1's with a TURBO....

I'm just starting to look at different software to tune the 96/97 LT1 OBD II car (1996 WS6-6spd LT1, single S80 OFI KIT). I'm trying to figure out what options really exist for the LT1 cars ? I would really like to use something like HP TUNERS 2 bar or 3 bar, but it looks like LT1 EDIT & Tuner Cat are the most common options for the LT1.

Does anybody want to give me some info on all the available options for tuning with a Turbo/LT1

I think you have nailed it. Both companies VIN lock the software. Tunercat is now owned by a greedy company who charges way too much. But both solutions work.

Jet bought the rights to tunercats obd2 product so the only way to get tunercat now is used in reality. And like you mentioned LT1 edit is really your only other option.

96 Silverram maybe you should make a poll on the site to see how many tuners would like something for LT1's

I would love to see a live-LT1 tunning solution, but the price might knock me down. And now Iv already purchased LT1-Edit, which is what I would sugest to use for the turbo tunning. I like it, it does more stuff than I have even learned yet

Yes they do offer a BS3 for the lt1 as far as i know. I have run and Am running the lt1 box on the 1000+hp setups. You can run 2-3 bar MAP sensors on the lt1 box and with a low impedence drive box its just as capable as any other standalone out there.

This would have to go offboard for me to help you further as i refuse to make public knowledge how to do all of this stuff.
