Default scanning with hptuners on multiple vehicles?

With hptuners, can you scan other gm vehicles without using up credits? Is it only programming that you need credits for or does scanning require them as well?

And as far as scanning, I am referring to checking SES, ENGINE, and other diagnostics and clearing DTC's.

I was able to scan my friend's '03 Cavalier... but that was before I upgraded to the credit system. I haven't checked any other GM vehicle to see if it works.

You sure can! It will tell you which codes are thrown and allow you to clear them as well. The scanning capabilities are not based on credits, only the ability to make changes are.

it will perform ALL functions of the scanner while using NO credits...bidirectional controls, scanning, dtc clearing...everything in the scanner is fully functional & at no cost.

I scanned a 96 Impala SS, I got most of the sensor inputs accurately, the 02 sensors and fuel trims were a bit wacky, but I was using it for manifold pressure diagnosis so I had what I needed. It is an awsome tool.
