Default Idle reads lower than HPscanner

Have a problem where my actual idle. It reads300-400 rpms lower than what is indicated on HpScanner, also tryed auto tap. Still reads low.

Any ideas...........?

I think it might be due to the fact that I have not been able to do the idle relearn.

Reason why is the a/c needs to be charged, in order to get the system to activate the clutch.......... No pressure in the system..

stock tach is less than 100% accurate especially in 1st gear. Use an aftermarket tach for better results.

I can live with a 100 or so, but this is close to 400. Just bothers me to see it sit there and read 200 rpms at a light. When I know it is around 600.

Would this cause problems for any other of the pcm functions when it comes to tunning?

What would be causing this?
Anything I can do to correct it?

Not going to install another tach.

Ya tell me about it, dont like it one bit.

The only thing I can think of is the relearn needs to be preformed.

Pull the cluster, remove the plastic face and replace the cluster, start the car, remove the needle and put it back so it points at the correct RPM. If you're lucky it will then be correct everywhere, if not you will have just moved the readings that are really wrong somewhere else. Nothing you can do to the PCM should have any effect on the cluster, at least not on a F-Body.
