Default Drivable for a week or so without a tune?

i was wondering since i have an a4, will it be safe enough and have enough drivability to dd it for a week or so?

cam specs are-
214/230 duration (same as cheatr cam)
.601/.613 lift
112 lsa

all supporting valvetrain mods (springs, rods, oil pump, timing chain etc...)
3.73 gears
and SLP Flopac and LM (if it matters)

had the cam designed so it would be able to work well with stock manifolds and stock converter. I will more then likely put a converter in at the same time but, im just wondering if i'll need a tune before i even drive it?

I agree with Frost, your setup is not extreme by any means and your PCM should compensate just fine till you get a good tune.

You can, but I wouldn't go WOT until after it is tuned.

yeh, stay OFF of WOT. your car will attempt to stay at a 14.6 or around that at part throttle.

You can drive it, but like others have suggested dont smash the loud peddle until you get a chance to start your tune.

Have fun.

I got a mail order tune from geoff at thunder racing. Great guy and he tunes alot of cars there so he knows what he's doing. Mine was alot more complicated and he got it pretty damn close.

its up to you with what you want to do... but if i'm going to pay the money to get it tuned... its better to do it once, and then be done with it. of course if you make changes, get it tuned again.. but its a personal choice

I would suggest a mail order to get you started, then take it to a shop for fine tuning.

Find out is the shop is going to lock your PCM. Some do.
