I would recommend waiting a little while on the download. I am currently getting an 8kb/s download speed.

Check out the Demo of the new features 2.1.16 has to offer...many of which no other software has the capability of.

Still downloading. Down to 6kb/s. Demand for the latest tuning software>hp bandwidth.

Is the new pricing retroactive. i.e. will the new release look at how many credits I've bought and what I've licensed and adjust the already licensed vehicles to the new pricing, or is it only for what you license from this point on?

all retroactive as per the release page

" Also, any previously licensed vehicles or year/models will still retain the original credits required to license them and count towards the next available upgrade as per the upgrade credit system."

so if you had 22 upgrade credits for gen 3 cars before the update you'll still have them, meaning you'd only need 8 credits to do the gen 3 car unlimited

nice! I think I can upgrade to unlimited LS1 cars now due to the licensing change

Pretty kickass that it's retroactive!

Not exactly what I was asking. I guess I'll find out when I download the upgrade. Doesn't sound retroactive in the way I was wondering though.

if you own 30 credits.... w/the upgrade you will still own 30 credits

however... the # of credits needed for the next level (IE all LS1 cars) has dropped ...

it's like buying a house and putting down say 50%... then the bank says "we're lowering our prices... so you don't owe us as much to pay your house off" .... you can look at it as your 50% is now worth more of the total value... or you're still 50% but total value has come down (aka free money ... though the value coming down is a bad comparison since i was talking about housing)

I was wondering more for example, I used the 8 credits that came with the MPVI to VIN license 2 Gen IV vehicles using up all my 8 credits. After the upgrade, will I now have 4 available credits because those vehicles now only require 2 credits per vehicle instead of 4 each? If so, that would be retroactive, but that doesn't sound like that is the way it is going to work. Would be nice though.

I'm just glad to see the price drop on the Gen IV single vehicle cars and I don't care about the Holdens.

Ok so help me out here guys...

I currently have the serial version, but plan on most LIKELY moving to the newer interface.... whether I do or not though, I currently have a license for unlimited f-body 99-00-01-02. How far does that take me in the 30 credits needed for gen3 cars unlimited? Thanks.

you would need 12 more credits to get unlimited gen 3 cars.

Exclamation

I got my new version last night. I just happen to check my log on page and it was there.

Much thanks goes out to the HPT team! Bill, I like the new SWF, looks great!

Now that 2.1.16 is out, what's the real hold up for the "AutoTune" feature not in this version? That's the one main feature I am looking for.

Since there were a lot of price reductions, has the price dropped for the unlimited RTT/Autotune for LS1 F-Bodys?

1/2/3 bar SD custom Operating systems automatically are still free with the purchase of the Gen 3 Car/Truck unlimited tunershop package even with the near 60% price reduction
