Default Car won't start

I was going to leave my house and I back the car into the street. Put it in first and my foot slipped of the clutch. So I go to start it back up and I get no lights or any kind of electrical power. Could this be an anti theft issue?

It doesn't sound like VATS to me. I can have the security light on, but I can still start my car just fine. Are you sure your foot slipped off the clutch? Have you tested your alternator and battery? My understanding when you say that you get no electrical power is that you are talking about the whole car? Am I correct or not?

Yes the whole car is with out electric. I do know that the battery is brand new. I haven't checked the alternator.

I'd check voltage at the battery first.

Sounds like the battery hold down isn't there and the battery flipped to the firewall and shorted out.Might of taken out some fuses.

Check the battery voltage.Disconnect the battery, then reconnect it and see if it starts.

Problem solved. I unhooked the battery for 20 minutes, hooked it back up and had to put a little charge on it but it fired back up. Took it to autozone and they said the battery could have a cell going bad in it. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
