I havent had the chance to use LS1edit, but our custom operating systems with RTT give you tons of control in real time which in itself can make tuning much easier. I would say check through our forum & help file www.hptuners.com/help and you'll have a hard time finding an easier to navigate program out there.

Dont buy LS1 Edit, it is way behind compared to the new high speed tuners out there. I have LS1 Edit and i finally am about to switch over to something nicer. LS1 Edit works, but it takes a lot more brain work to make thigns happen.

Why are you only choosing between LS1Edit and HPTuners if I may ask? Have you read about EFILive?

Read the stickies at the top of this section first. I have heard good things about both HPTuners and EFILive. I have LT1Edit (father of LS1Edit) and have found support for it to be non-existent. Which really irritates me, since they tried to sell me a 1 year subscription for updates. Which never happened, of course.
Again, read the stickies at the top of this section. Once you make your choice, you are stuck, unless you want to shell out more $$ for the other software. And yes, you will need a wideband O2 as well, an extra expense.
Best of luck, hope this helps.
