How does HPTuners read oil pressure?
I am pretty sure i know the answer to this question but i just wanted to make sure. Does HPTuners read oil pressure through the oil sending unit or does it get the reading through something else? Thanks in advance.

Since the oil pressure sensor is only connected to the instrument panel and not the PCM, HPtuners can not read oil pressure unless you connect the sensor to an EIO analog input. This would probably involve more than simply running a single wire.

on corvettes it can scan the oil pressure since it's fed to the PCM, but F-Bodies don't read it.
Any sensor that outputs 0-5 volts and is linear for measuring pressure should do the trick... either connect to the EIO or an unused pin in on the PCM ... not sure what aftermarket pressure gauges output though
