Default large lean dip on tip in

I posted before about trying to track down a pinging problem on tip-in at low rpm (1800-2000). I switched to SD mode and did more scanning. Turns out there is a major lean dip right after the throttle starts opening, which is also when it pings. This is measuring o2 voltage, not with a wideband, but the actual a/f value doesn't really matter since it's obvious to see it shoots way lean momentarily then goes back. Can this be fixed in the VE table? I can't find another fueling thing to adjust that seems like it would fix this. (Using efilive.)

Not that I can find. Is this a table that HPtuners has and Efilive doesn't?

I have been able to cheat a little by correcting some of that problem on the VE table. By increasing the VE value at the high map/low rpm you can effectivly richen it up when the throttle first opens.

Those areas of the VE table are rarely used. I started around the 55-60 kpa up to about 1200 rpm and richen it up some....good results usually. I'm not sure if this would work well on up to 1800-2000 rpm.

Something to try, not the "correct way" but it might work.
