I would like to know what a good scanner should have. And how much to spend . Im not a pro but want some thing good.

If your just reading s.e.s code I bought a cheap one off ebay, i think it was 30-50 bucks

yeah it resets your s.e.s codes but if you don't fix the problem the s.e.s light will light back up. just type in odb2 reader or odb1 depending on your year car.
