Default 2007 Pcm Os

Is anyone familiar with the 2007 PCM. It looks different from the other previous year OS. I'm really confused, what happened to main VE table? I do not understand what's going on anymore. One more thing, what is up with 3rd gear in the C6? I don't know why I bought a 07. Anyone familiar with these new cars?

E38 PCM
No VE. Instead you have a forumla and coefficients and constants which feed into a simultaneous equation.
You need something like matlab to model it and feed your data in for SD tuning.
Or just calibrate the MAF and do the timing as usual.

Seems most are just using trial and error at present to map the VE to a best guess.
The answer of course is to use matlab solve the equation for each point in the ve table to generate the coefficients and constants. Probably helps to have a degree in pure maths for that one.

So foff how are guys tuning this now? Trial and error still or is some science coming to bear on the issue?

I think its going to take ALOT of trial & error, but most tuners, I would assume, are relying on ole faithful IFR/PE/MAF to tune fueling.
