Default Traction.....

Hey i am running hp tuners in my car and i was wondering if there is anyway to bypas traction control with it, i did a search and couldnt find anything, thanks for any help!

The TCS is not handled in the ECM, but in the ABS/TCS ecu. Nothing comes to mind that could be done in the ECM to disable traction.

You could try unplugging the traction control sensor on your axle?

The only thing you can do is keep it from pulling timing, but the solenoid will still close the throttle body once the traction control activates and the brakes will still modulate...this just keeps the traction control from being so harsh.

Shock Hawk - you'd only want to unplug the axle sensors if you wanted to lose your ABS at the same time - both systems use the same sensors.

The easiest thing to do is just pull the TCS fuse, but you'll be living with the ASR OFF idiot light being on all the time. I've asked HPT to give us access to the basic ABS and TCS functions, but that's a no go due to liability issues.
