98 PCMs will not work on a 99+ vehicle without rewiring the pins and replacing some sensors

if it's an 00 it should fire.. but it may require a CASE Learn in order to fire up consistently (99 and 00 Operating systems are pretty similar... even all the way down to the injectors)

Same transmission type?

what if you give it a little gas while cranking? check the fuses under the hood just in case

I gave it a little gas while cranking and then I checked and was getting no fire. I thought it may be just vin locked or something. When I would stop turning the motor the gauges would go up and down. Both cars are m6s. What fuses should I check out? I had swapped pcms on lt1s before and they always worked. I guess ls1s are more complex.

I'm having the same starting issue. Plenty of fuel pressure, turns over but no fire, and my speedo guage bounces up and down while I'm turning it over. Let me know if you find anything out.
