Default Crane Cams Tuner?

Used a couple of times on my 02 T/A. Returned PCM to stock tune, then had LT's installed and dyno tuned with LS1 Edit. Can I still use the Crane tuner for reading and clearing codes ONLY, or will it mess up the PCM if I connect it? Thanks for your help.

Don't see why not - should be able to tell you when plugging it in? I use my Predator to read/clear codes and see real time data all the time on other cars - I just select diagnostics or real time data.

Even if you use the diagnostic portion, doesn't it load the tune into it first? If so, will it be able to load the modified LS1 Edit tune?

Just using it as a scanner shouldn't make you upload the tune, should ask you if the car is an A4 or M6 though. Never used the vinci/crane handheld - someone will chime in. Don't upload/mess with your modified tune.

it does not load any tune, so long as you do not tell it to. when you first plug it in, you will have to let it dowload the current tune. then just select no for everything and run through the install process. now, it hasn't loaded anything. next you unplug and replug it in. then select read DTC to read the codes and erase.
