Default MAF wiring????

I want to move my MAF further then the wiring will allow me, if I cut the wires and extend them will this have any effect on the function of the MAF itself??? BTW i have a five wire MAF.

if the IAT sensor is built in then yeh...it complicates things a little.

howcome you are moving it? FI?

Yes the IAT is built in, as it is a 5 wire MAF. Why does that make it complicated???

I am moving it because I have an LSX motor in my 93 Mazda RX-7, and the Maf gets heat soaked where it is now.

actually nevermind, i forgot what you were simply doing.

anyway, you can extend the wires with no issues. I extended my MAF wires as I got FI on my setup, you will be fine
