Default What to monitor for boost level

I would assume knock sensors, but What else should I monitor to see how far I can boost without damaging my motor? What should I be looking for?
Thank you!!!

AFR, preferably one WB on each bank. another good one is individual misfires, especially at higher rpm, most setups need plugs gapped closer. temperatures are always a bad side effect of boost, so watch that too, especially when they start turning fluids into water. cooling is crucial so make sure it's up to the task for more than 'quarter mile at a time.'

Thanks for the info. I have the 160 T-stat, FMIC and a fan switch to kick them both on high, so it does run cool. I am running 8 lbs now with 10.5:1. Just want to make sure I am not over boosting with that ratio

High speeds usually causes overheating of the engine which can be a result of poor air circulation and congested hood where an injen cold air intake must be also taken consideration.
