Backfire through the intake????
I have a 72 blazer with a 5.3 swap. I have a 6.0 intake and injectors and a ls6 cam. It has been backfiring through the intake. The fuel pressure is good and the compression test came out good. All sensors are working. Could it be in the tune?? Is there any reputable tuners here in AZ.. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not to smart on the engine your talking about but I know some of the 3800 series engines had problems with the fuel pressure regulators having small leaks in them. The pressure was fine but it would slowly leak into the intake manifold and if a valve seal leaked at all it could ignite it.

I would double check and make sure you have the timing off when you installed the cam. you might be off a tooth or 2. What kind of cpu are you using? No codes thrown?

It has been tuned. It ran great for a day. It backfires under light throttle. In neutral it revs fine but when you put it into gear it starts to miss..???? No codes show up and the check engine light is not on...
