Default SES bulb replacement

my ses light bulb burnt out so can anyone guide me in the right direction on how to replace it? i know i'll have to disconnect my batteryand unplug my dash but after the dash is out i'm kinda lost. when i do this, i wont lose the mileage on the car will i? my airbag wont deploy after all this will it? just want to be sure before i start. thanks

Just looked up MIL inoperative in my helms, says to check fuses, PCM mil control circuit, connection at IPC, etc., then replace the cluster - nothing on changing the bulb? I take it it's not coming on for the bulb check when starting the car.

thanks, how would i check PCM mil control circuit and connection at IPC? i'm guessing check for 12 volts or continuity at the connectors? i wont lose my mileage if i disconnect my battery and unplug or swap ouy my cluster will?

pull out the cluster and replace the bulb at the top if that dosent work then check mil
