A multiple misfire can result from many things, bad fuel system, ignition system, or mechanical problems especially in the cylinder head can all be causes of misifring. Start by checking plugs/wires/fuel system.

If you're getting a random misfire code this could be from one or more bad cylinders. You need to check on a scan tool whether most of your misfires are coming from any one or more cylynders. Post back whether or not it's related to some or all of the cylinders.
