Default Help with wideband (lc-1)

I finally installed my LC-1 and it appears to be functioning properly and the LED is not flashing any errors, etc. Except for the fact that it only reads between 9.9 and 20.1

When I am idling around, I see 20~ish, when I punch the pedal it reads 9.9~ish. Is there something wrong with my o2 or calibration, or some setting I am missing?

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks

Talking lc-1

When you first start the car it will read high because the secondary air injection is adding air to the exhaust to cool the cats down(if you have any). This is normal. if it stays at 20+ after warm up, you have a problem. I just installed mine this past weekend and mine did the same. Once mine warms up it stays at about 14.5. When I rev it, it goes to 9 then back to the middle(14.5). Hope this helps.

It sounds about right. At cruising speed, it should be around 14.5-14.8. At WOT, a stock tune will show 10.xx. It just sounds like your running rich (at WOT).

I have mine set to 0-5V/10:1-18:1 AFR on channel 2

Are you sure you have it connected properly? Are you reading it in Logworks or on a gauge.

The sensor is not calibrated from the factory. It does do a heater and free air calibration when you turn the key on for the first time. It takes a couple min to complete. Did you sit through this process? If not might wanna try again. Also, double check in the programmer that the analog you are using is configured for the gauge. It seems like only one of them are. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

Okay, no I dont believe I sat through this process so I will redo it.

I didnt know both analog's have to be set the same way, or am I missing something here?

Thanks for the reply

Do you have this hooked up to your Datalogger (HP) as well? To rule out the sensor go into LM Programmer and force it to command a 1.5v flat signal, then look in your data logger(if no logger, hook up a voltmeter on the o/p) and it should be what you commanded.

You can do one of two things. First, you can unplug the sensor from the LC1 and turn the key on for a minute, turn key off, reconnect sensor, and turn key back on for a couple minutes. Or, you can use the button in the programmer to recalibrate it. Not sure what the button's called. Your analogs don't have to be set the same. The one you're using for the gauge output needs to be configured correctly though and only one of them comes pre-configured from the factory for the XD1 gauge.

Also make sure the o2 sensor is not in the pipe for this it needs to be outside of the exhaust system. It will take about a minute to a minute and a half to do the calibration. Turn the key off, plug it back in the pipe (careful it will be hot) and start the car now your AF should read as they should.
