It almost sounds like someone changed your cooling fan airflow values way too high. If you open your hood and watch when it happens, does it happen when your fan comes on and stop when the fan turns off? If you had a scan program you could see what is changing with your airflow adders and figure it out real easy.

Go to your table display in the scanner and add all the values that have to do with idle airflows. IAC position, Idle base PN airflow, idle cracker airflow, idle desired airflow, idle desired rpm, idle fans airflow, idle follower airflow, idle park position airflow, and idle AC airflow. You should see your IAC position jump when your idle jumps. You need to log all these when it happens to figure out which airflow adder is making the IAC jump. Before you do any scanning check and see in VCM editor that your engine>idle>idle airflow>cooling fan airflow values are .1 and .2.
