ok I know on OBD1 stuff you can jump the connector and get the light to flash at you to get a trouble code out of the car. Is there anyway to do this with a LS1 car. I have a 01 Camaro motor I'm wanting to know if I can jump two pins in the OBD2 port to get the check engine lite to flash at me.

'93 was the last year you could flash the codes on the F-body. Think you need a scan tool.

you have to have a scan tool, no other way around it
