seperating the grounds look a little confusing to me I'm not sure if I use the same source and just have them mounted a few inche's apart or what. I was planing on haveing the LC1 mounted inside under the ac controls and using a ground in there somewhere. Any idea's where you mounted them would ge great. Thanks.

Mine's mounted above the heatshield using a large ziptie, 3" from my header collector in my 2K1 F-bird...
My ground connections:
blue wire is connected to heater ground in NBO2 socket;
green wire is connected to low signal in NBO2 socket;
white wire is connected to signal ground of my logging device;
of course, my NBO2 heater ground pin goes directly to ground and not to the PCM as in some later models.

I mounted my LC-1 unit in the cabin under the dash, in the hollow where the center console meets the dash below the stereo. My wiring came in through the floor at a new hole I made under the mats and material by the gas pedal (behind a heat shield under a car, and with a closing grommet). Then I grounded at two points under the steering column - there are two larger nuts on the underside that are good grounds. Scrape the paint away to get good contact, use a terminal connector, and it looks better than a factory install. This way both are are different points, but on the same source. And easy to reach.
I had to splice the cables to the sensor to make this reach, but that was simple with butt connectors and soldering the wires, then covering them in loom.
Additionally, I mounted the push button for calibration through the side of the OBDII plastic cover and it worked great.

It was actually a red 14 gauge male/female crimp plug at the time, but I have since rewired it to an actual switch.
