It depends on your car. You need to connect a wideband and stap the thing to a dyno to determine this.

In a perfect world the PE table is suppose to indicate the actual a/f ratio of the car via some funky lamda math.

AirFuel = 14.7 / PE

Being 12.8 is the optimal WOT a/f all PE values should be 1.148 in a perfect world.

However, this is not a perfect world and the above is rarely the case. You need to hook up a wideband to determine the best PE values for your car.

If youve tuned the car right, that is always the case. All my cars AFR is exactly what is commanded.

What commanded AFR are you guys shooting for at these various RPM ranges?

Thanks,

WOT 12.8:1, I usually add extra fuel at peak torque (highest cylinder pressures) and lean it out a little at peak horsepower

normal driving, closed loop should keep you at 14.7:1 or so

Unfortunately, this doesn't apply for a factory tuned car.

It may apply to a vehicle where someone has spent the time to dial in the MAF, VE Table, IFR, (like yours and mine). However, the average Joe's car is not like this.

Inferring to people that they can just put 1.14 into the PE table and get an ideal WOT air/fuel ratio is misleading for most.

never said they could. If the car was tuned right, commanded = actual
