Debating on buying EFI Live
Hey guys, I was originally thinking I would buy a predator, but, Now I'm thinking EFI Live, cause my bro will go half on it with me, just wanted to make sure that this is what I need:
http://www.efilive.com/pc-61-22-flas...-and-tune.aspx
I do need the flashscan v2, right?
Also, in the EFI Live .tun file Repository thread - the stock tunes are for stock vehicle's right? but, it still increases power, right?

You have to log data, analyze the data, edit the tune, and flash it into the PCM... It involves a learning curve, but luckily for you there's many people who have done it and will help you with your tuning questions.
(i.e. you log your PCM's data,analyze it, use this analysis to edit/flash your tune to make more torque/power; a pre-canned tune usually isn't quite suitable since each vehicle varies (even if of the same model/year)...)
You can download the current release software from here: http://store.efilive.com/download.aspx
download the .exe to your hard disk and then run it to install the software...
then you can run the tune tool to open the sample tune files and browse/edit all those tables;
and you can run the scan tool to look at the sample log files;
the scan tool links into the tune tool to highlight the cells in each table as you move the cursor around in the scan tool!!
There are a bunch of tutorials and write ups on various forums on how to tune... http://store.efilive.com/download.aspx#downloads6
to write a tune to your PCM you will need the V2 hardware (which comes with 2 PCM licenses; you can add more licenses if you want to tune your buddies' cars).
It's the best spent mod money, ever, with no regrets.
Cheers
Joe
