If the tool is locked to another vehicle, the only way to unlock it is to restore the stock tune to the car it is married to.
Without the original vehicle, this is not possible.

No, since the tools unlock themselves when properly restored, they will not unlock them.

If you restore the factory tune; the programmer is still VIN locked. You have to send it into Granatelli, and they will charge you to unlock the programmer.

I'm sure if a good programmer got a hold of these they could reprogram them and make them unlimited.

"Most" of my customers want a custom tune for their combo so I do not have a need for a generic handheld programmer. If you have tuning softare you can see what is changed in the generic tunes. Not slamming anyone/product; it's just the facts.

Seriously, please enlighten me....

Do you work with/for Diablosport?

Are you aware as well that Diablosport does offer complete custom tuning software to their dealers, which allows them to create custom tunes which can then be loaded to the Predator?
Those 'generic' tunes do a great job of improving performance on stock/close to stock vehicles, regardless of how many changes are made.

FYI any information pertaining to illegally unlocking a unit can't be posted publicly

original poster's question was answered... thread has served its purpose
