Default To MAF or not?

I tuned my engine in "SD" mode by setting MAF Fail Frequency to "0" just like everybody else and kept it that way, so I constantly ran in SD mode. However recently, I decided to just nix the sensor all together about the same time I put longtubes on it.

The car doesn't seem to have quite the power it used to. I was wondering if its because there is no sensor at all, or do I just need to re-tune after the longtubes???

Addition of long tubes requires a retune.

Do you have a wb? How did u tune it? A Maf will get better AFR on pedal changes. But alot of people go without. I keep mine and tuned it.

Retune with a wideband for the longtubes - it will feel sluggish till you do.
