Default At the track troubles..

Well had the car setup in SD mode, did some logging/adjusting for about 4 days on the street and everything was pretty good, a/f was a little rich at 12.5 but i figured better safe than sorry. Wanted to get to the track before it closed for the season and had some issues...

When i got into the burnout box and stabbed the throttle the car spiked to
20:1 afr and would NOT spin the tires never did that on the street. Was getting knock retard, but found my new y pipe to be hitting the floor so i desensitized the sensors. My timing only seems to be about 23-25* out of the whole when im calling for 28* ? After a little richening of the lower ve the car would spin the tires, but still spike to 17:1 afr when i first got on it.. (idle was awful w/so much fuel) This seemed to kill my afr in 1st gear as it was mid 13's..come 2nd - 3rd gear it was right around 12.8...

Any thoughts would be appreciated, i know i threw a lot out there, i'll post up some logs when i get home tonight.

Fix the Y pipe, the knock sensors are merely doing their job

low timing at launch (hard throttle transition) can be from lots of places; your burst knock tables being one place. Also log your knock learn factor and see what happens during the launch. You probably spin through on the street.

yes i understand i need to get the ypipe fixed, im going to install some poly mounts and see what that does.

Even after i turned off the sensors though, i still wasn't getting full timing, thats what perplexed me. I will try that next time out frost. Thanks

sure... burst knock detection comes comes from monitoring delta airflow, not a sensor. Check that table. Zero it out for testing if you'd like
