Did I fry my PCM?

Default Did I fry my PCM?

As I was installing new crank sensor wires, one of the wires touch the positive side of the battery and there were some sparks and smoke.
the PCM was connected to. what are the chances that I fried the PCM??

If the car starts then the pcm is fine. When I fried mine it didnt start at all just cranked. Had to go to GM and get a new one

I'd think the PCM would be protected by one of the fuses, and that would open first.

Same thing for me except my stealership wanted 150$ to reflash the pcm cause they gave me one out of an avalanche just did it with hptuners.
