Default HP Tuner Question

My Dell Laptop only has USB ports and my HP Tuner needs a Serial port connection. Does HP Tuner make a connector that uses USB?

What does a new unit cost or I wonder if that would swap mine?

You can upgrade but it would be cheaper to go buy an adapter. The new version is better though. You can log in the car and not have to use the laptop.

We don't make a connector, but our newer USB MPVI units(which you can upgrade to at any time via your customer login page) have a usb interface rather than a serial interface. Or you can purchase(as suggested) a usb to serial adapter.

Check with foff667 on here (Bill@hptuners) about the serial to usb adapter. Theres been alot of issues with those with other things, not specifically hpt, but you never know.
they do sell a usb cable separately. You would probably be better off buyin that.

Right, I don't want something that is going to fail. Also you have to make the computer see that it's a Serial port and not a USB. Pain sometimes
